One of Ireland’s favourite food festivals, Savour Kilkenny is back for its 12th year this October Bank Holiday weekend, and will welcome back the ever-popular Happy Pear twins and Renault Ireland ambassadors, Dave and Steve Flynn, to the extensive festival programme.
The Happy Pear will be leading a free cooking demonstration in the Marble Kitchen on The Parade on Saturday 27th October from 4.30pm, where they will recreate some vegan recipes from their brand-new cookbook, the number one bestselling Recipes for Happiness, such as one-pot lasagne, chickpea tikka masala, and some quick and easy veggie options that even the most voracious meat eater will enjoy!
Local Renault and Dacia dealership, O’Briens Kilkenny, is delighted to come on board again this year to partner with the festival and will be displaying a number of vehicles within the Savour Village food market on Saturday and Sunday of the festival. The Happy Pear will be making an appearance at these vehicles on Saturday 27th October to sign some copies of their new cookbook following their demonstration in the Marble Kitchen.
Throughout the festival, there will be interactive cooking demonstrations and masterclasses with award-winning chefs, culinary delights and quirky dining events, beer and wine tasting occasions, live entertainment and best of all, a bustling Savour Village food market full of the best produce and food that the country has to offer. Savour Kilkenny each year develops a programme of activities, which embraces all sectors of the food community from artisan producers to restaurateurs, food agencies to food farmers.
The Happy Pear cooking demonstration on Saturday 27th October is a free event but will be very well attended, so come early to get a seat!
